J2S Layout Toolbox
J2S Layout Toolbox is a solution designed and developed by J2S to automatically layout database or structured data. Meta-data
Meta-data are pieces of information which are attached to the media which they describe. For example, the date of a photo and the name of the photographer which are written at the back of a photo. Metadata are most often written in accordance with a standard: IPTC, XMP, Exif, Dublin Core, DICOM…

Module
A module, for J2S, is an InDesign file which describes how to create a layout. This file is usually created using the J2S Module Editor application. A module is a set of operations. Most often, an operation triggers the placement of a block. Operations are hierarchically organized : blocks can contain other blocks which themselves can contain other blocks, etc. Some operations can be used to create blocks, insert the text extracted from a database field. Other operations are used to act upon blocks that are created by children items : for example, an operation could be set to align horizontally the blocks created by its child operations.
